Shop The Blog: Gardening Must Haves from Amazon

Gardening is such a rewarding hobby. It wasn't always my favorite thing, but once you start seeing how your hard work pay off with breath taking blooms and harvesting vegetables for your dinner, it's worth every effort. It's also a lot more fun when you have pretty rain boots and fun gardening gloves. Here is my must have gardening items from Amazon!

These items are my must haves because I either own them and love them or would love to own them! Let's start with the items I own: the Gorilla Grip Kneeling Pad and Miracle Grow Shake n Feed. The Gorilla Grip Kneeling Pad was a life saver on my knees last year. I told my husband I needed something, because kneeling on rocks and hard ground was killing my knees. This product is awesome! It's super thick and doesn't go flat even after hours of kneeling! I always grab it when I need to do some weeding! I also swear by Miracle Grow Shake n Feed! I like to sprinkle the appropriate amount in my garden beds before planting my seeds or starter plants. It works for about 3 months!

I don't mind working in the dirt and getting my hands dirty, but sometimes garden gloves are a must! I own a few different pairs, but I love the pattern of these ones. I also need to invest in some long sleeved garden gloves, which these come in the same pattern as the regular! I need long sleeved ones for when I need flower beds. Our house has poison ivy in the flower beds and I have not been able to kill it all off yet. A little trick I learned is to wear rubber kitchen dish/sink gloves that go up your arms when weeding the ivy or around the ivy. I also have mixed up dish soap, vinegar, and a little water to make a solution that kills off the poison ivy. Be careful though, because it will also kill other plants.

The remaining items are ones I would love to own or sitting in my shopping cart! I think having a garden journal is so handy. Something you can keep track of what you planted from year to year and be able to look back on your notes. I would also love to own both books: Cut Flower Garden for tips of growing lush cut flowers and the Vegetable Gardening for Beginners for helpful information on growing seasons and each type of plant.

I also love the apron for collecting chicken eggs, keeping dirt and grass stains off my jeans. I love that it has pockets for holding my gloves or phone or whatever else I may put in there. It also has a really cute vintage vibe and I love that! I already own rain boots but these Joules rain boots have beautiful prints to choose from! To finish off my round up, I really need to invest in a garden bench. Sometimes it's nice to be able to just sit and lean over to tend to the garden. Now that we will have raised garden boxes, this bench would be practically level with it. I think it would be helpful, especially since I'm on blood thinners and I get tired quickly being on them.

There are plenty of items I did not list that clearly are a necessity! We know we need gardening tools and hoses, but this round up is for making gardening and weeding a bit more fun and stylish! I hope you love my picks and this helps you find some fun pieces to get you in the spirit of weeding season!
