Autumn Leaves and Wooden Pumpkins Please

It's Fall!!!

Cozy sweaters. Burning leaves. Cool breeze. Rainy days. Pumpkin picking. Comfort cooking. Who’s with me? Fall might be the best season of all.

Over on Instagram, I’ve joined a few other mama’s to bring you some creative ideas on how to celebrate the first day of fall! Click Here to See More Ideas.

Over the last couple years, we started to store our holiday decor in the house attic. Except this means my husband has full control on when said decor comes out. You see- we don’t have attic stairs, so unless you have a butt load of upper strength, you ain’t getting anything down.

So until I beg, ask, annoy, and bat my eyelashes enough. This house is looking a little naked to ring in the season. Luckily, Target has these wooden pumpkin cut outs for $5 a piece and the minis for $5 a two pack! I thought those would be perfect to paint and make my own little fall/Halloween decor for my picture shelves in our dinning/kitchen space. I absolutely love how they turned out.

All I did was use some acrylic paint I already had in home to paint the pumpkins. I really love the pumpkin that I left natural and painted our last name initial on. The other large pumpkin I hand painted the words "Hey boo" on an off white background. I have a welcome door mat that says Hey Boo and I think it's just super cute! Two little orange pumpkins, two small milk glasses filled with garden cut flowers, and these shelves are looking a bit more fall-ish. Now if I could just get the rest of the house looking this good.

Have you decorated for Fall yet?
